Welding Mentorship & Apprenticeship Program

The Welding Mentorship & Apprenticeship Program offered by Divine Hope Charity Foundation Inc. is designed to equip young adults, unemployed individuals, and those rebuilding their lives after difficult circumstances with practical, hands-on welding skills that lead to meaningful employment and long-term financial independence.

 

Our program provides participants with the opportunity to learn directly from experienced industry professionals while developing the technical knowledge, discipline, and work ethic needed to build a successful career in the welding and metal fabrication industry.

The program is led by Mr. Anthony Kamara and Mr. Foday Turay, highly skilled professional welders with over 10 years of industry experience. Their passion is to mentor, train, and empower the next generation of skilled tradespeople through practical instruction and real-world job site experience.

Workplace Safety Training

Safety is an essential part of our program. Apprentices will be trained in:

Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Workplace hazard identification

Fire prevention and

emergency response

First aid awareness

Safe handling of welding machines and electrical equipment

Safe material handling and lifting techniques

Safe use of cutting

and grinding tools

Hands-On Apprenticeship Experience

Participants will gain valuable real-world experience by working alongside experienced welders on active projects. This practical approach allows apprentices to build confidence, improve their technical skills, and understand professional workplace expectations.

Program Duration

The apprenticeship typically lasts 12 to 24 months (1–2 years), depending on the participant’s progress, attendance, commitment, and demonstrated competency.

Throughout the program, apprentices will receive regular evaluations to monitor their development and readiness for employment.

Certification & Career Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the program, participants may receive a Certificate of Completion from Divine Hope Charity Foundation Inc.
