By providing meaningful employment opportunities and comprehensive construction training, we empower individuals with the skills needed to transform their lives and build a sustainable future for themselves and their communities.

Program Overview & Structure

Program Overview

Participants are enrolled in a structured apprenticeship program where they receive hands-on training under the supervision of experienced professionals, including:

  • Engineer Sahr Yambasu – Headmaster Contractor & Lead Construction Instructor

  • Licensed General Contractors

  • Building Engineers

  • Construction Managers

  • Master Builders

  • Skilled Trades Professionals

  • Renovation Specialists

  • Residential and Commercial Construction Experts

Every apprentice learns by actively participating in real construction projects while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.

Program Duration

The Construction Apprenticeship Program lasts 12 to 24 months, provides participants with adequate time to develop technical expertise, gain extensive field experience, and build the confidence required to perform independently as skilled construction professionals.

Throughout the apprenticeship, participants receive:

  • Structured classroom instruction

  • Hands-on field experience

  • One-on-one mentoring

  • Workplace safety education

  • Leadership development

  • Teamwork training

  •  Professional ethics

  •  Financial literacy and budgeting

  •  Entrepreneurship and small business fundamentals

Progress Evaluations

Continuous evaluation ensures that every trainee masters their trade and stays on the path to long-term career success. Participants are evaluated throughout the program based on:

  • Technical competence

  • Quality of workmanship

  • Construction knowledge

  • Workplace safety

  • Attendance and punctuality

  • Professional conduct

  • Teamwork

  • Communication skills

  • Leadership potential

  • Reliability

  • Problem-solving abilities

Formal evaluations are conducted regularly throughout the apprenticeship.

Participants who require additional instruction or field experience may continue training for up to 24 months, ensuring they possess the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills necessary to perform independently before completing the program.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the program and demonstrate the required competencies will receive a Divine Hope Charity Foundation Construction Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion, recognizing their professional training, practical experience, and workforce readiness.
